Earlier in the summer L & J did a wonderful job installing a new gas furnace and AC for me. They returned for job #2 this past week, to install additional heating and cooling ductwork to the second story of my very old home, to make the upstairs a more livable space. Jeremy and Nick worked non-stop, doing flawless work in a very tight space in a wall void next to the built-in fridge. Thanks, guys! A masterpiece! I have only the highest praise for the work and professionalism of L & J Heating and Cooling. And the price tag was surprisingly low for the great-quality work.

“Joe planned and supervised the project of the replacement of a very old gas furnace, plus adding air conditioning to the system. Vincent and Jeremy worked tirelessly and efficiently for two and half days doing the installation, which required some extra tasks one wouldn’t find in a newer house. That included an entirely new approach to the venting, as the old furnace venting no longer met code. In addition, they installed new venting for the gas water heater, bringing that up to code, even though that was not directly related to the furnace project. That required a climb onto the second-story roof for Vincent. They always arrived on time, did high-quality work, were courteous and respectful. When they completed the job, they left my old cellar cleaner than they had found it! I give the highest recommendations to this team!”

“Step one was completed today, an appointment for my gas furnace replacement plus the addition of AC. Joe arrived on schedule and gave options for ways the new system could be installed. He answered all my questions and gave me quotes for several grades of equipment. I had been worried that it would be a complicated process, but he made it all very easy and clear. I’m now looking forward to the next step, installation, which I’m confident will go just as smoothly for me. And the quotes were less than I was expecting, another big plus!!!”

“100% satisfaction! From start to finish, L&J Heating & Cooling providing nothing but top-notch service. I was not sure exactly what we would need as our existing unit was about to kick the bucket. The sales manager was extremely informative and assisted us in making the best decision for our home and needs. The technicians were prompt and extremely professional. I had many questions and greatly appreciated the fact that the technicians took the time to answer my questions. Never did I feel as if I was burdening them with questions. In fact, they ensured all my questions were answered before they left.

“After living on borrowed time for almost 10 years, our furnace finally failed. The heat exchanger had a crack and dangerous fumes were being blown into our home as a result. This forced me to reach out to a number of different heating and cooling specialists for quotes, system review, and timelines. Needless to say, since I’m writing this review, I chose to go with L & J Heating & Cooling.
But here is why. When I called and asked for help, they came out the very next day to meet with me – other companies deferred me at least 3 days. Second, they explained their procedures and systems to me in enough detail that I could make an educated decision, this included giving me a cafeteria menu of options that included availability of the equipment. Third, they did end up being the lowest costs overall for what I wanted! And lastly, they were 100% on-time to do the work along with getting it done on time – this last bit almost never happens.
I work in real estate, I deal with clients who have the very same issue or need to have a furnace repaired as a condition to close. In every case going forward I will be recommended L & J Heating & Cooling to my clients for any and all repair and service needs.

“We had our furnace shut off overnight 3 consecutive nights. Mike came out 3 days to trouble shoot the issue. Each day it was up & running w/o issues, then would shut off again overnight. Turns out the controller failed. Mike had installed this new controller in Nov 2020. Between the ice storm and numerous power outages, something caused it. L&J only charged us a service fee for Mike’s 1st day here. The controller was under warranty. He replaced it free of charge and no problem since.This company is top notch! You can trust them to explain or show you what they found. They work hard to accommodate your needs. It is so refreshing to find great people doing the right thing!”
